Shuttle etiquette

Please look after the feather shuttles, these represent a major expense for the club, they are delicate and much in need of tender loving care! Please treat the birds with respect

• Avoid hitting the feathers
• When the bird is on the floor, please pick it up and pass it to the server, do not slide/hit it across the floor with your rackets/foot etc.
• Before serving, smooth any ruffled feathers.
• Continue using shuttles with cosmetic damage for as long as practical.
• When warming up, members must avoid using new birds.
• Damaged birds must be placed in the black bucket.
• At the end of the evening birds with slight damage will be assessed for retention or possible donation to the school.
